Nairoberry is Real (Victim of Nairobi Crimes-based on a true story as a Nairobian )
I was left for dead
I didn't know they laid the bounty on my head...
I was a campus student and i didnt know
2010 after all that God gave didnt say no
Pitch darkness thick black no street lights
I picked one of my fights
Late at seven my classes ended but the road home began
I didnt know this kariobangi was the place they had every weapon gun
As it rained light and darkness covered me with world so cold
I didnt even have a hand to hold
Heart racing sweating long distance
If they could have given me a chance
As i waited for the commuter bus
I held on to my horses and the little gas
They say Nairoberry is real
In this man eat man society i was there meal
I didnt even have enough fare
To take me comfortably there
All i had was the hope that i could reach home
For that chai not cold but warm
They know like a rule when it rains fare hikes
These moments were not my likes
So i hit the road
Dying to get onboard
Alone like a lone star
I wished for even a lift from any car
Till i reached a place
Nobody had never seen my face
When six men were walking swift behind me
But me just focused assuming to turn back and see
As i raced on night young but without trust
I felt an unforgettable experience worst
They grabbed my me by hands and chewed black out
Didnt even have a voice to shout
Into consciousness i fell
This was the beginning of my hell
As i woke up like i was dead asleep
Died for an hour but not one did weep
Realised i had been drugged and thsts why
I found out i was robbed and it wasnt a lie
My Money ATM cards were gone
Not even little that i could use for that precious call even phone
I tried to ask for help in that police station
But no one could believe everything i did mention
Till i walked away like a loser into the jungle of crimes
Again
when i made it home i never knew this was beginning of my victimisation, every tear, every pain.
