There was this time in 2022 I was working in a certain farm in Naivasha then my brother received several calls from a stranger asking him if he knows anyone who graduated with a Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management.
He was my brother and he knew very well that graduated with a Diploma in Human Resource Management and I was seeking for a stable job especially in my field of study.
So he linked me with the guy and we talked. The guy promised the job is a direct one, no interviews and I was to start immediately the following day. My bad, I never asked the name of the company I'm going to work with, neither did I ask this guy's position in the company.
I happily traveled to Nairobi that Monday evening, the guy had promised to pick me up at the bus stop so that we wake up early the following day to the company.
When I arrived at the city, this guy picked me so I knew I'll spend the night at his place. Actually I thanked God because I first thought he won't come to pick me up, this made me trust him even more. As a saying goes that a stranger may turn a family and a family may turn a stranger, but that is not what happened, he took me to a lodging and asked me to pay, I paid Kes. 500 and he promised to come for me very early the following day. I never imagined, but I later realised that maybe this guy didn't have a place to stay "Ni mkora Wa town".
But before we even went to the lodging, the guy asked if my good conduct certificate is still valid, I said it's expired. So he linked me with his "friend" who he said works at Huduma centre , that this friend of his could validate it within an hour. I'm a computer expert, I even didn't notice this things, certificates are editable, things I can do in seconds, but since this guy had earned all my trust I sent my Kes. 2000 for the conduct certificate and later Kes. 3000 for recommendation letter which was also edited and I can also do the same and have done it for people who have secured big jobs with.
So basically that night I spent atleast Kes. 5500. Now the following day when he came to the lodging to pick me, I trusted him even more Kumbe Sasa he had come with new strategies, this day now he washed me my phone and all the money I had. I will tell you how in the next part.
