FoodBridge connects restaurants with surplus food to families who need it, using a simple WhatsApp registration — no app download, no tech barrier, just a message. As a single mother building this entirely from my phone, I designed it to work for people with the least access, not the most.
I built the whole platform myself — website, admin dashboard, outreach — and started knocking on doors (and WhatsApp groups) across Mombasa to bring it to life. It's still growing, but every match between a restaurant and a family proves the model works.
