The unfortunate fate of Lisa

You never know the hardest of life until you experience it. Lisa knew no happiness. All her life she lived from hand to mouth. Food to her was a night mere she might have dreamed to wake up from. Life had given her every reason never to be happy, but despite that she had swore to get out of poverty come what may.

After her father's death, being the eldest sister, she remained the bread winner of her family. She took care of her younger brothers Jonh and James, the inseparable twins. Walking to school now seemed easier as she was used to it.

One day, from school, Lisa perceived loud cries from the tiny bushy compound their father had left behind. She could not understand what was happening so she encouraged her brothers to continue walking as they were already giving up.

On arrival, she could not believe what her eyes saw. Her poor mother was lying helplessly at the scene that seemed like that of murder. With no choice Lisa became the mother and father of her two brothers.
