I had to question our friendship

When you can't escape ur fate was a person, my first day in college I came across a girl let's call her Patience. We instantly clocked and became best of friends reason being we enrolled in the same course.

I was finally happy I have found a friend, a family, a shoulder to lean on that's how happy I was. I actually enjoyed the moments she was somehow loaded and she used to spoil me , take me to dinner dates, clothes shopping . It was the best days of my life and I always appreciate that from her.

As everything that starts ends college days were gone and we came to real world looking for jobs and bare minimum attachment. Thata when I started to see her true colors. She got attachment and I wasn't in a position to get one yet I came to realize the company she was working for or being attached to had an opportunity but she didn't mind connecting me.

That's when I realized being taken to shoppings and dates is nothing. If someone can't connect you to an opportunity that's not a friend at all
Anyway I don't have a close friend now and I kinda like m life that way.
