A Theater appointment experience

It was on the 17th of March 2026, we had been booked for a theater appointment at a specific hospital. My son was booked for a procedure called all mouth restoration. I woke up as early as possible. My son was not supposed to take anything from the previous day at around 9:00pm until after the theater so I didn't prepare anything in the morning just so I could join my son on the same no food until the theater. We took off at about 7:00am.

That morning I was a bit worried about what would happen, am I doing the right thing, all these worries kept replaying in my mind until we arrived at the hospital. On arrival we were taken straight to the waiting bay. After a while the doctor came in. He was in charge of putting my son to comma before the surgery commences. He asked me a few questions about the birth and wellbeing of the child if he has any side effects to medicine and if so which one. I answered his questions calmly tackling every question correctly. After about 30 minutes of intense conversation he assured me my son will be okay. We did some paperwork and after a while we were informed that it was time. we went straight to the theater and the doctor was waiting for us. On arrival the doctor took me through what they will be doing and how long it will take.
She leaned towards me and gave me a pat on the shoulder and reassured me all will be well, l felt a bit of relief. After a few minutes my son was taken to the theater and I was asked to wait outside. I felt like something had been separated apart but I just reluctantly walked out. The waiting was long n quiet I was almost breaking down but my faith in my God could not allow me. For some reason I believed my son would be okay.
The surgery was supposed to take 4hours at exactly 1:40pm I could not wait any more so I rushed to the theater and he woke up immediately and he sensed me. He was in pain but the doctor confirmed the surgery was successful. The nurses give him pain killers and after an hour he was back to his normal self.
