Was Karol really a true friend?

I had a friend named Karol,,she was my best and I loved her so much. She was best in school and used to help me in my studies. She used to encourage and support me. We did our last examination and when the results came I had not passed while she had done the best. I had not managed to go to campus and she told me that for everyone is not a must to go to campus. Deep down inside me I felt bad because I knew I had the potential to go to campus. My parents encouraged me to go back to school and I went back and I came out with good grades which could get me to campus. If I had listened to myfriend Karol I would not have gone back to school and I would not have managed to go to campus. Not all friends want the best for us even though we see them helping us .
